He was born in Bursa. He graduated from Bursa Anatolian High School in 1997. He received his bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from Newpark Music Centre in Dublin, Ireland. During his studies, he attended workshops of musicians such as Kenny Werner, Steve Coleman, Dave Liebman and Rick Peckham. With his band, which plays a repertoire of classics and compositions mainly in bebop, hard bop and modern mainstream jazz style, he has performed on many stages in Dublin and Istanbul. Guitarist Sinan Altıparmak, who gives concerts with his own band and takes part in different projects of Istanbul’s leading musicians, met with Ankara music lovers at SAMM’s bistro at the 22nd International Ankara Jazz Festival as a member of Ayşe Tütüncü Quartet.
