Kaan Bıyıkoğlu

Kaan Bıyıkoğlu is an engineer and a professional jazz musician. The pianist, who has been interested in jazz music since his high school years, performed with names such as Tuna Ötenel, Yıldız İbrahimova, Yahya Dai and Kürşat And during his education at METU. Afterwards, he completed his master’s degree in classical piano at Başkent University State Conservatory as a student of Mehmet Okonşar. In 2006, the pianist entered the Rotterdam Conservatory in the Netherlands, where he studied jazz piano and harmony with Kris Goessens and Rob van Bavel, composition and orchestration with Ilja Reijngoud. He is also a jazz educator and gives concerts and records albums in Turkey and abroad with various band formations.
