Guido Spannocchi
Born in Vienna he studied Jazz Saxophone & classical Flute at the prestigious Conservatoire of Vienna followed by Musicology at the University of Vienna and Université Paris VIII. After working with various acts in Vienna and Paris. He decided to move to London in autumn 2011 where he currently live.
As sideman as well as on a workshop level he had to play with: Joe Zawinul, Bobby McFerrin, Tricky, Dele Sosimi, DasPop, Tez, Spleen, Burnett Thompson, Nigel Price, Pete Whittaker, Jessica Lauren, Larry Bartley, Orphy Robinson, Mimika Mak Murtic Ensemble, The Junkorchestra, Denise Mangiardi, Elektro Guzzi, Meghan Burke, Vladimir Kostadinovic, Maria-Chiara Argirò, Shaney Forbes, Tony Kofi, Saleem Raman, Hannes Riepler, Prince Zeka, Fresh Kils, PremRock, KelliAli, George Peguero, Tom Ollendorff, Jure Pukl, Gina Schwarz, Ruth Goller, Daisy George, Liran Donin, Elchin Shirinov, Pete Hill, Andy Davies, Sultan Stevenson, Capitol K, Rosie Turton, Jay Phelps, Tristan Banks and many more.
On a movement interdisciplinary level he worked with various shows such as Nando Messias’ “The Sissy Progress”, Mas Production “Lady Vendredi”, Artful Badger, Impulstanz, Pilot Tanz and more.
Visual interdisciplinary adventures include collaborations with The Victoria & Albert Museum, Anthea Hamilton (kabuki), Lisa Truttmann (elsewherelands, ratas, showtime e.a.), Julia Vogl (social protest), Nural Moser (”check this” video), Gala Knorr, Holly Birtles, Tamsin Snow, Mark Mayer and more.
