Berke Özgümüş was accepted to Bilgi University Music Department with a scholarship and graduated with first place in 2000. In the Turkish jazz scene, he played with names such as İmer Demirer, Önder Focan, Sibel Köse, Yahya Dai, Elvan Aracı, Selen Gülün, Ricky Ford, Şenova Ülker. Özgümüş is also the drummer of the popular rock band Redd, which is well known in Turkey. He participates in album works, concerts and tours with the group. However, this intense tempo did not prevent Özgümüş from frequently taking part in jazz projects. The musician continues to give concerts in various jazz venues; He also works as a teacher. Özgümüş, who has been giving private drum lessons since 1998, served as a drum instructor and assistant director in the Certificate Program at the Modern Music Academy between 2006 and 2009. During this time, in addition to drum lessons, he also gave ensemble and repertoire lessons. He continues to give drum lessons at Bahçeşehir University Conservatory Department.
