Pelin Güneş Quintet

She was born in Kazakhstan. There she studied piano at an early age and performed with choirs. She settled in Turkey about 10 years ago. In 2018, she graduated from Bahçeşehir University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department. In 2017, she participated in the Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Competition and received a degree. In 2018, she participated in the Young Jazz auditions and was entitled to perform at the “Jazz in the Parks” events organized as part of the 25th Istanbul Jazz Festival. Pelin Güneş, who received training at Sibel Köse Jazz Vocal Workshop, also works with Güç Başar Gülle. The young vocalist sings jazz standards and her repertoire includes standards by composers such as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Horace Silver and soul, r&b, bossa and funk styles. She is currently performing in jazz clubs in Istanbul and some big hotel clubs. Pelin Güneş met with Ankara jazz lovers at SAMM’s bistro stage on January 25, 2019.
